Each Eco resort has a standard of Eco-ness that reflects their philosophy. Try the Eco Extreme award winners for a 100% Eco vacation. Or if you are not quite ready for the deep end there are Eco leaning resorts that are Eco but allow certain non Eco luxuries (swimming pools, Jacuzzi’s).

Ecotourism’s importance is growing. As more and more travelers are aware of the damage that ‘regular’ resorts do to the ecology of the flora and fauna of The Caribbean, they are looking to stay at places that lessen their footprint (carbon and real) and help to preserve the local flavors, sounds and ecology.
